Ukrainian refugees in Poland are by far the largest amount of migrants in the West from Ukraine as a result of the NATO war in Ukraine.
More than 80% of the adult refugees are women, because men were not allowed to leave Ukraine and some were returned by Poland to be placed on the front lines, where they were quickly killed.

The conservative Law and Justice Party in Poland lost reelection in October 2023 due to the inflation and other problems caused by pandering to NATO liberal policies. Since Leftists took control of Poland, in 2024 the mayor of Warsaw has banned displays of the Crucifix in public buildings and required government workers to adhere to the preferred trangender pronouns of others when referring to them.
Public drunkenness among Ukrainians and rising gang violence and crime rates have been among the complaints of the indigenous population.[2]
