Urmia (Azerbaijani: Urmu Persian:ارومیه, Syriac: ܐܘܪܡܝܐ) is the second largest city in the northwestern part of Iran and capital of the West Azerbaijan Province. It is inhabited by mainly Iranian Azerbaijanis, but there are also minorities of Kurds , Armenia ns and Assyrians.
