About Exie

Exie Schlossberg has four citizenships - Philippines (the country of her birth), U.S. (the country of her husband's birth), Israel (the country of their immigration), and Heaven (the best country of all!). She is known among Israeli friends as "Romema" - the Hebrew translation of her full name Exaltacion. Romema appears in the Scripture "The Hand of the Lord is exalted (Romema)!" She was born on September 14, which in the Philippines (and elsewhere) is the Church's Feast of the Exaltacion of the Cross. Since she was born on that day, and since her family name was Cruz (Cross), she was given the name Exaltacion, or Exie for short. And so, she is now Exaltacion Romema Cruz Schlossberg.

Most of Exie's time now, aside from being a wife and mother, is taken up with the tourism field in Israel (her home for 20 years) as a government licensed guide in English, Hebrew, and Tagalog, and related activities (arranging for group and individual hotel accomodations, busses for groups, etc). Her previous activities in the U.S. included being Accounting Manager for all branches of Westchester Federal Savings and Loan Bank.

An ongoing concern for Exie is the resolution of the matters concerning the shootdown of KAL 007 in 1983 and the reports concerning survivors. Her father and cousin were passengers on that flight [1]. Her husband, Bert Schlossberg, the director of the International Committee for the Rescue of KAL 007 Survivors, is a contributor to the article on KAL 007 in Conservapedia Korean Airlines Flight 007.
