I was looking on this site and saw that chemistry articles were pretty thin on the ground, so I decided it would be pretty good revision to see if I could fill them in. They won't be long articles - I don't have the time (or the expertise!) - but I'll write what I know, which ought to be enough to provide a base for other users.

I'll spend a few minutes looking in other articles, to see how to do categories and sections and stuff first.
