Please don't copy and paste pages from Wikipedia. DanH 01:14, 22 March 2008 (EDT)

What's your WP name? Both articles have been edited by many authors... DanH 01:17, 22 March 2008 (EDT)
Copy and paste only those parts you write, and leave a note in the edit summary. DanH 01:20, 22 March 2008 (EDT)
Sorry Asteroid, a note in the edit summary is not the correct way (although there's nothing wrong with that). Use the {{copied from}} template on the talk page of the article. Philip J. Rayment 02:19, 22 March 2008 (EDT)

Yo forgot to use {{copied from}} for the talk pages of

  1. Secular Study of Early Islam
  2. Future Jihad: Terrorist Strategies Against America
  3. Seeing Islam as Others Saw It
I put the notices up on the last 2 , but not on Secular Study of Early Islam , because I never published that article in the public space , it was only a draft in my namespace.--Asteroid 23:28, 24 March 2008 (EDT)

Also thank you for transfering these articles to Conservapedia Deborah 22:29, 23 March 2008 (EDT)

You are welcome--Asteroid 23:28, 24 March 2008 (EDT)
Something about the way that you've been putting the {{copied from}} notice on some pages hasn't been working properly. I've fixed ones I've seen. All you need to do is put {{copied from|user=Asteroid|site user=CltFn}}. Philip J. Rayment 23:51, 23 March 2008 (EDT)
Ok that works now.--Asteroid 23:28, 24 March 2008 (EDT)

Copying from Wikipedia

We need proof of authorship, if for no other reason to avoid mistaken deletion of articles. I just deleted your Patricia Crone article because a Google search showed it as being the same as Wikipedia.

If you value your own contributions, please help us to preserve them by following our crediting conventions. --Ed Poor Talk 08:20, 6 April 2008 (EDT)

Ed, this is now the second time that article has been deleted for the same reason! When this user recreated it, he put in the edit comment that he was the author of it on Wikipedia. However, it seems that he never did put the {{Copied from}} notice on it, as he has done with other articles, so you weren't to know that. This author has said that he wrote on Wikipedia as CltFn, so it should be easy enough to check that the Wikipedia article was written by someone of that name. Philip J.
