Founding Fathers

The Founders chose a calender not based on Chinese years or Jewish years but on the Gregorian calender. That means the birth of this nation, 1776, came just 1776 years after Christ was born. --Jpatt 11:12, 26 December 2011 (EST)

Excellent, but in terms of actual principles it was founded on more secular ideas. At least, that's what John Adams thought: "The government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion". Are you telling me you know the founding principles of America better than the Founding Fathers? --BLeeser
