Well, hey, Christine. Independant 19:01, 22 July 2007 (EDT)

Venting Frustrations....

It also helps to know what you are talking about, wouldn't you think? Or are you a "mentalist", able to read block notes and know what has been going on? You certainly do have my full attention, and you didn't before, so I guess you have accomplished what you set out to do, eh? --Sysop-TK /MyTalk 19:54, 22 July 2007 (EDT)

Um, no? And look, I even read your talk page, and if you have issues with "ping-ponging" conversations I am willing to give in to that little inane pet-peeve. I can be civil, see? Clv309 20:15, 22 July 2007 (EDT)

Well, I don't think I can be, given your already posted comments, and questions about locked articles. Since there are so very few of them, if you cannot manage to contribute, and cannot ask the protecting sysop to open them, I feel perhaps you have come to a place you simply won't be able to adapt to. If I am wrong, please tell me. Otherwise we will bid you a heartfelt and sincere "Godspeed". --Sysop-TK /MyTalk 23:14, 22 July 2007 (EDT)

Yes, I asked a question about locked articles, but I don't see how that could possibly go against me. And there really aren't "so very few of them," the first edit I wanted to make I couldn't even do. I can see why you may feel the need to protect some articles more than others, but why sysop-only? Why not block from IPs and less-than-4-day-old accounts? And you can't block me because I am not in violation of that dumb "90/10" rule. Yet. Clv309 09:41, 23 July 2007 (EDT)
Here, people have to register to edit, so protecting against IPs is redundant. Apparently the software here is not set up for semi-protection to prevent new accounts from editing. Philip J. Rayment 09:49, 23 July 2007 (EDT)
Well, that's not very helpful then. Are you guys technically part of Wikipedia, or Wikia? From what I am seeing, it seems the former. You also don't have [[special:editcount]], so I can't view my edits to make sure I'm following the rules. What are the other differences? If you know, that is. Clv309 09:51, 23 July 2007 (EDT)
Conservapedia uses Wikimedia software, the same software (although not quite the same version) as Wikipedia, but we have no connection with Wikipedia. If you look in the useful links box in the welcome notice at the top of this page, you will find a link to your edit counter.
The Wikimedia software comes with various options and optional add-ons. Some of those options and add-ons are not the same as Wikipedia's, but I couldn't give you a full list. One difference is that we don't have the module installed for the <gallery> tag.

Ah. Well that protection thing from certain accounts really would be helpful. Does Wikipedia (not Conservapedia) have that or is it only Wikia? I think Wikia has brainwashed me into thinking that everyone had (mostly) the same features. Wikia does not have account creation logs though, as everyone can use the same username across ALL of Wikia, without having to re-register with each new wiki. Clv309 10:01, 23 July 2007 (EDT)
Wikipedia does have and use the semi-protection option. Philip J. Rayment 10:14, 23 July 2007 (EDT)

Funny, I don't see a question mark in that comment you left anywhere. Clv309 12:52, 23 July 2007 (EDT)

"I feel perhaps you have come to a place you simply won't be able to adapt to. If I am wrong, please tell me. Otherwise we will bid you a heartfelt and sincere "Godspeed"." There doesn't have to be a question mark to denote a question, FYI. I will await your email asking to be allowed back, or just be prepared to block your socks, as the case may be. my email is enabled here, and my AIM contact is on my page. As you should already know, you picked the wrong Admin to game play with. --Sysop-TK /MyTalk 13:07, 23 July 2007 (EDT)
