- Thanks for the head's up. It's not that what I post doesn't "show up", but it gets held up during the submit process and I end up with a white screen, so I'm not sure if it went through or not. AFD process
I don't think we're going to keep using the AFD process, at least not in the "voting" way that Wikipedia does. If you have problems with the importance of a topic, please address the matter on the article's talk page.

- Well, I found it interesting that my article on Harlan Coben, a fairly well-known author with nearly 15 books and one currently being turned into a movie, was deleted because of "lack of notoriety", but because there are a few users here interested in anime, they're going to stay. I'm just having trouble, I guess, figuring out what the scope of this encyclopedia is supposed to be. Anime movies are allowed, but specific authors aren't?--Jareddr 16:33, 15 July 2008 (EDT)

The fact that you need Japanese fonts installed for your computer to even recognize it makes me believe it's probably not the most important of articles to be created. If you can tell us anything about Harlan Coben that isn't a rehash of the stub article at Wikipedia, feel free to recreate it. I may have been hasty.

- Why does it need to be more substantial than the WP article on Coben? I grant you that my original article wasn't an entirety of his life, but provided some details about the author himself, as well as his bibliography. By contrast, compare the article on Tonari no Totoro, which I think is shorter in length than my article on Coben, to WP's version of that article here. Other than the plot summary, what new information does it provide to the CP audience? Again, I don't mean to attack that article specifically, as I could find other articles here that fit this discussion. But I use it to once again ask the question of what is the scope of CP? I've seen it said that it's meant as the conservative alternative to WP. But when there's no conservative/liberal viewpoint (i.e. Tonari no Totoro, Harlan Coben, the 1999 NFL draft) will CP try to provide the information in the hope that it can be used as a hook to draw in new readers and allow them to explore the rest of the site? Or is it meant for only those topics that can be presented differently? And if so, where does that leave the rest of the articles? --Jareddr 19:58, 15 July 2008 (EDT)

You have been playing with negative content about McCain for some time. Many of the interview comments, like the one you have provided, are really unimportant. The LA Times was apparently trying to paint a picture of racism and hate in McCain, and you apparently have bought into it. There was nothing productive gained from that quote; it's only a display of journalism's "gotcha" politics.

Well, let's see... The source this was supposedly plagiarized from was written by William somebody or other. The article here was added by William123. Couldn't possibly be the same person, could it? Nothing wrong with someone adding their own material from other places to CP. (I've done it, in fact.) Listen, Fox seems to have a problem taking things from the lying incompetents at IrrationalWiki at face value.
