Enjoying retirement and born and bred in the UK: shouldn't you consider a move to a less socialist country, the US for example? --EPauper 10:43, 3 September 2008 (EDT)

If only I could afford to! But the taxation level here is so high and that socialist Brown has made such a mess of the economy that I can't afford to sell my house. Anyway, my wife wouldn't let me!

Do you know that in arab Malak means KING? --User:Joaquín Martínez, talk 12:41, 16 September 2008 (EDT)

I've been called many things in my time but never before a King! Thanks for that...I think! (I'm a lifelong Republican and have no time for monarchy!) Malakker 08:47, 18 September 2008 (EDT)

Academic credentials

If you have been studying something long enough to be regarded as an authority on the subject, it's better to log in under your real name. Otherwise, bear in mind that we require sources for all important claims. For example, if you believe that Mumming in the UK or Ireland has unique aspects - or is utterly unrelated to other kinds of mumming - you'll have to back that up with external references. --Ed Poor Talk 07:36, 27 November 2008 (EST)
