I try never to contact anyone privately unless it is a necessity, because I am wary of being blocked for having "been offensive" or the like in private and being unable to prove that the block was unjustified. I have been blocked multiple times unjustly, and had five more overturned in short order only because others could see what happened; you have to understand my resulting wariness. Public is better, so everyone can see what is happening and I am not in danger of being disappeared.

And actually, as I look now, I was blocked and unblocked again only a couple of days ago by that new guy, Bugler (who weirdly is already able to block people even though he's been here... what, a month?)
