A vice is an evil or harmful habit. They become attractive due to addiction or even fleeting satisfaction of having done something morally wrong. They are often made more attractive by a financial incentive for a seller of a good or service associated with the vice.

Morally, vices facilitate sin. The Seven Deadly Sins might be more accurately termed vices, since they are attitudes of mind that lead to sin rather than sins in themselves.
