Vision and Dagger. Cover of the book 'The Vision and Dagger of Islam and Its War on the Infidels'.
On the back cover, Dr. Michael Ben-Ari quotes David Ben-Gurion:"When England leaves the country, it will not be political opponents who will stand before us, but Hitler's disciples and perhaps teachers, those who know one way, and one way only, to solve the Jewish problem - total extermination."
Ben Ari defines the book as a book that came to change the consciousness in Israel regarding Islam, aimed at a wide audience – intelligence officers , researchers , government officials , educators and seekers of knowledge. He emphasizes the importance of learning about the enemy for survival, and criticizes the destructive impact of political correctness and cognitive blindness.
The book, which took about four years to write, is divided into four chapters, dealing with the development of Islam, the Muslim Brotherhood movement , Palestinian nationalism , and the process of Islamic awakening vis-à-vis the State of Israel.
The structure of the book
Prologue: The West versus Islam - a mental and cultural trap.
The prologue presents the conceptual framework of the book, focusing on the cultural and ideological struggle between the Western world and Islam. The prologue criticizes Western behavior, which he claims is blind to facts and promotes "political correctness" over sound intelligence. The author emphasizes that ignoring the harsh reality and methods of Islam, along with silencing it in the guise of a "war on racism," allows a determined and focused enemy to succeed in its mission.
In addition, the prologue seeks to shed light on the importance of the battle of minds – the struggle to free society from the false visions of multiculturalism and blind humanism . It calls on readers to deepen their learning and understanding of the codes, values, and goals of Islam.
First Cover: The Sword of Islam, History, Values, and Concepts.
The first chapter deals with the origins of Islam and its effects on Jewish-Muslim relations throughout history . The first chapters provide an overview of the early period of Islam, focusing on the historical background of Muhammad and his relationship with the Jews. The description includes the campaigns of murder , plunder , and rape that were identified with the rise of Islam, as well as the tactics of deception and the use of force as an ideological instrument.
The chapter then delves into Islamic hatred of Israel, which the author claims has existed for generations, and its murderous fruits throughout history. Additional chapters analyze the basic and important terms of Islamic holy war , including concepts such as jihad and the joy of death, which are presented as an inherent part of religious ideology .
The chapters also address the religious and social concepts of Islam, which sanctify martyrdom , and the moral code on which the ideology of holy war is based. The closing chapters of the chapter examine the influence of Islamic ideology on political and social reality in the global and Israeli arenas.
Second chapter: The Muslim Brotherhood – "Jihad is our path".
The second chapter of the book deals with the Muslim Brotherhood movement and its methods of operation as the ideological and organizational basis for global jihad . The book describes the ideological roots of the movement, its central leaders, and its various branches around the world.
A central chapter in this chapter reviews the movement's organizational structure and details its operational code, focusing on the concepts and methods of action it uses to achieve its goals.
The content also includes a reference to the Hamas movement , which constitutes the military and ideological wing of the Muslim Brotherhood vis-à-vis the State of Israel. The book describes the Hamas charter , its goals and people, as well as the political, social and religious dynamics that drive its activities.
In addition, the chapter delves into the structure and internal activities of the Muslim Brotherhood, from local organizations to their influence in the international arena. Additional chapters deal with the links between the movement and other groups affiliated with radical Islam .
At the end of the title page, the book deals with the influence of the Muslim Brotherhood on Arab residents of Israel and their attitude towards the state. It shows how the Muslim Brotherhood movement, through its branches, operates in the Israeli government systems and plans the destruction of the State of Israel from within.
The second chapter constitutes a significant source for understanding the radical Islamic movement and its destructive influence on power struggles in the Middle East and in the international arena.
Third Chapter: The Palestinian National Movement Versus the Zionist Movement.
The third chapter focuses on the birth and development of the "Palestinian" national movement . The first chapters deal with its early leaders, including the central figure of Izz ad-Din al-Qassam and his role in the Arab-Palestinian struggle. The chapter presents the historical connections between the 1936-9 Great Arab Revolt and the ideological awakening of the Arab-Palestinians during this period.
Additional chapters review the figure and work of the Mufti Hajj Amin al-Husseini , who was described as one of the central figures who led the Palestinian movement in the 20th century . The Mufti is presented as having close ties with Nazi Germany, and his influence on the radicalization of the Palestinian ideological struggle is presented extensively. The book discusses his role in leading disturbances and rebellion, and the collaboration between the Palestinian national movement and the Nazi movement .
The second part of the book focuses on the events leading up to the so called "Nakba" of 1948. The chapters analyze the decisions of the Arab leadership, including its positions towards the Jews and the Zionist movement , and the destructive results of their actions. The book describes the internal struggles within Arab society, alongside the rush towards the destruction of the Jewish Yishuv .
In the final chapters, the book delves into the failure of the "Palestinian" movement, emphasizing the disasters that were caused to them by their misguided leadership. This process is described as a turning point where military struggles changed to ones of consciousness. The book analyzes the way in which the "Palestinian" movement moved from being a national movement to one based on historical consciousness, myths, and ideological struggle in the international arena.
The cover provides a description of the development of the Palestinian national movement, emphasizing its ideological ties with other forces in the Arab and Western worlds, and their influence on the security and political reality of the State of Israel.
Fourth chapter: Israeli Arabs - From the Nakba to the Nahda
The fourth chapter deals with the process of Islamic awakening vis-à-vis the State of Israel, focusing on the historical and ideological implications of the key events of the 20th and 21st centuries. The first chapters review the impact of the Nakba (1948) on Arab society, and describe how the military defeat became an ideological motivation for Islamic renewal. The book presents the Arab position towards Zionism and the struggle over the historical significance of these events.
The chapters also analyze the process of confronting the State of Israel, emphasizing the ability of radical Islam to operate through state and social systems in parallel with military warfare. These analyses include the influence of Islamic movements within the State of Israel, especially the Israeli Islamic Movement, and its mode of operation as part of the Muslim Brotherhood's branches.
The third and fourth chapters of the chapter focus on the Islamic movement in Israel and present it as a fifth army working to eliminate the State of Israel from within. The book describes the strategy known as "in the belly of the whale," in which the movement operates from within the state's systems of government and institutions to undermine its very existence. In addition, the book introduces the concept of "constructive obfuscation," which aims to disguise the movement's true intentions through the use of double-talk and calculated propaganda activity.
These chapters also discuss the "Osrat ['usrat] Al-Jihad" [أسرة الجهاد - Families of Jihad] affair, which is presented as a significant turning point in the activity of the Islamic movement in Israel. The author describes the exposure of the movement as part of a subversive radical system, and the way in which this affair highlighted the deep connections between the local Islamic movement and the ideologies of the Muslim Brotherhood.
The book describes the internal and external struggle taking place in the international arena, while examining the impact of global power struggles on the process of radicalization. The chapters include a discussion of the concepts of jihad, martyr, and their role as part of the overall struggle.
Towards the end of the book, chapters are devoted to a discussion of the phenomenon of Holocaust denial in the Arab world and its impact on perceptions in the Israeli and global governance systems. In addition, the book deals with the takeover of Islamic ideology in the public and political sphere, and its direct connection to the destruction of the State of Israel as a central goal.
Appendix: Facts and Myths
In the appendix attached to the book, the author discusses the central myths that have developed over the years and serve as a tool to undermine the legitimacy of the State of Israel. The chapters analyze the way in which these myths are used to obscure reality and influence global public opinion.

Notes
| “ | Vision and Dagger is a document that takes its readers on a shocking journey into Islam, its values, and its methods: the poisonous anti-Semitism, the joy of death and blood, the deceptive conduct vis-à-vis the Western world, which is captive to willful blindness, and the constant and systematic striving to impose Islam on the entire world, by means of the sword and rivers of blood.
The book contains a historical overview of Islam from its beginnings to the atrocities of the Simchat Torah massacre of 5784/2023, a clarification of terms, a detailed outline of the operational code of the Muslim Brotherhood and its branches, and a dissection of Islamic myths. The book is intended for those who respect their enemies and seek to learn from them. For intelligence and academics, for opinion leaders and government officials, for teachers and those seeking knowledge, and for anyone who understands that if we do not know the enemy – we are defeated without a fight. In this context, the battle for consciousness is the battle for life. "Michael Ben Ari , author of Vision and Dagger , deserves all the praise for providing a literary and public event of distinct importance. The book’s sources are numerous, the historical scope is broad, the list of basic concepts is illuminating, and the relevance is razor-sharp." - Dr. Mordechai Nissan, Hebrew University. |

"I wasn't surprised by October 7," says Ben Ari. "This is normal, accepted, normative behavior in the wars of Islam... If someone wants to call me a racist, they should read my book." At the end of World War I, there are many parallels between Hassan al-Banna, the leader of the "Muslim Brotherhood" in Egypt, and Hajj Amin al-Husseini in Israel: "There is also a hidden competition between them, both of them seek to fill the void created after the collapse of the Ottoman Empire, both of them seek to take over the leadership of the Arab world." Dr. Ben Ari describes how the idea of "Palestine" was born and it is interesting to know that Azmi Bishara said in the past: "I don't think there is a Palestinian people at all, I think there is an Arab nation and I have always thought that way. I don't think there is a Palestinian nation – it is a colonial invention. When were there Palestinians?" "The idea of Palestine is a century-old invention," says Dr. Ben Ari, "it is an invention that was invented as a result of hardship." Ben Ari refers to the idea of "clan rule" and says: "There are processes that cannot be reversed. Once the Palestinian ethos is created, this identification, a situation is created in which there is a group with a common identity component. It is true that there is a clan identity component, but in addition to it there are components such as the struggle against Zionism, Al-Aqsa." In the riots of 1929 (Hebron massacre 1929), images emerge that are identical to those that emerged during the terrible massacre on Shabbat Simchat Torah: "We will never be able to live with these enemies. If we want to protect our wives and daughters, ourselves and our children, we must stop with the illusion of coexistence." Ben Ari notes that there was a period of calm in which the British were satisfied "with the wonderful process they had carried out," they restrained Hajj Amin al-Husseini, they restrained the Arabs, they provided them with the goods, and there was calm: "They don't understand that the time when there is calm is the most dangerous time, the Arabs have prepared and prepared. This is a religious pattern - I will not go out to attack until I am ready." Dr. Ben Ari mentions military commentators and says firmly: "They understand nothing about Islam, they understand nothing about Arabs. Anyone who calls me a racist or a fascist simply doesn't know. My book "Vision and Dagger" gives the roadmap as to who our enemy is. We must not make a mistake about this. We have no permission to err on the side of illusion. It's over." |
