Walsall

Walsall is a town in Staffordshire. It lies in the historic Black Country industrial region, north-west of Birmingham and east of Wolverhampton.
It is notable for Queen Mary's Grammar School, which was founded in the town in the 16th century with Mary I as its royal patron. The Walsall Canal was established in 1784 forming part of Birmingham Canal Navigations.

The administrative HQ for Walsall Council (formerly Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council) is located at Council House on Lichfield Street, Walsall.
