Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 is a Game Boy platforming game released in 1994. It stars Wario, who had previously appeared as the antagonist of Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. Although it bears the Super Mario branding, Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 is not a Mario game, but rather the beginning of Wario's very own spinoff series, Wario Land, and by extension his own titular Wario franchise.
