What would Jesus do?, along with its abbreviated form, "WWJD," is a common phrase used by many people. It is used as advice when someone is troubled. For example, if someone asks they should do, you could answer: "what would Jesus do?"

Although the phrase is intended to guide someone along a righteous path, it is unfortunately abused by some people (often liberals and/or atheists) to make fun of our Lord and Savior.

History

The phrase was originally coined by Charles Sheldon but was re-popularized in the 1990s by Janie Tinklenberg.[1]
