Windows Firewall(originally Internet Connection Firewall), is the pre-installed firewall on Microsoft Windows. It first came with Windows XP and Windows Server 2003. Like other firewall software, this tries to prevent unwanted traffic from entering or exiting the computer system. Some contest that this firewall does not offer very good protection, because it tends to be too trusting of outgoing traffic. Other people maintain that it is a strong defense, better than even many third-party offerings.[1] Regardless of this possible issue, it does offer some protection to many people, since it is enabled by default.
