Tiger Woods?
What, do they cough loudly while his opponents are lining up their putts? --Gulik5 23:17, 16 April 2008 (EDT)

: Do you follow the mainstream media??? Tiger Woods gets 99% of the press attention in major golfing events, often in a style that predicts he will overtake and defeat the leader at the time. I bet you can't even name who won the Masters last year, and this year.--Aschlafly 00:10, 17 April 2008 (EDT)

::Zach Johnson :) DanH 00:13, 17 April 2008 (EDT)

:::No need to be smart about it. It's a fact that Tiger Woods gets the vast majority of the press' attention, and it's never negative. Yet one commentator makes an offhand comment about how other golfers could beat Tiger Woods, and she's kicked off of her show. BryonRichards 00:25, 17 April 2008 (EDT)

::::I think she was suspended two weeks for making a joke about lynching when Woods is black, which wouldn't quite be the same thing. DanH 00:27, 17 April 2008 (EDT)

:::::This is ridiculous! Would anyone even care about golf if Tiger Woods wasn't playing? Its like soccer, the only reason anyone watches it now is because of David Beckham. Some people are such superb athletes that it makes people want to watch an otherwise dull sport. DaBoss3 06:36, 17 April 2008 (EDT)

:::::This is ridiculous. Seriously this is a new low for conservapedia. Defending Paris Hilton. What would Nicole Richie say. Rellik 20:50, 21 April 2008 (EDT)

Unless I'm missing something, all of the claims made on this page are unsourced. Are there any plans to correct this soon?Wandering 09:44, 14 May 2008 (EDT)

Your removal of the template, Andy, is pretty weird. Even though not every claim can be sourced - like the one you point out - the very specific claim that abuse is worse in public schools demands a source, does it not? Such a factual claim needs substantiation, yet there are no sources at all for several such claims. That would seem the ideal use of the uncited template, right?--<font color="#000066" >Tom Moore</font>fiat justitia ruat coelum 01:24, 7 June 2008 (EDT)

Nixon?
Nixon was forced to resign because he broke the law, fired the investigator when he got too close to the truth, and then tried to pervert the principle of executive privilege to withhold evidence. There was certainly a media frenzy over this, and he defied that scrutiny at every turn, but the end it was bipartisan impeachment that forced his resignation, not the press. Clinton did wrong, and his evasive testimony was shameful, but the nature of what each man had done and was lying about couldn't have been more different in terms of personal versus national impact. --DinsdaleP 18:17, 31 July 2008 (EDT)

: Dinsdale, Nixon was never impeached and never committed perjury. The media tried and convicted him, and bullied him into resigning. Clinton did commit perjury and was impeached, yet stayed in office.--Aschlafly 20:52, 31 July 2008 (EDT)

::Congress passed three articles of impeachment against Nixon, and he resigned before the actual proceedings began. While that may mean that he technically didn't go through the full impeachment process as Clinton did, it's misleading to imply that Nixon resigned from media pressure and not because the impeachment against him was approved. --DinsdaleP 08:18, 1 August 2008 (EDT)
