Afro-Eurasia

Afro-Eurasia [1] is a term used to describe Eurasia (Europe and Asia) and Africa as one continent. The landmass contains around 85% of the world's population (about 5.7 billion people).[2]
Division
Normally, it is divided at the Suez Canal into Eurasia and Africa, the former of which can be subdivided into Europe and Asia. It can alternatively be divided into Eurasia–North Africa and Sub-Sahara for cultural and historical reasons.[3]
