Granville Oral Roberts, born January 24, 1918 is an American preacher, who made his name with his faith healing.
Early life
Oral Roberts was born in Pontotoc County, Oklahoma. He studied Bible in Oklahoma, and married a preacher's daughter. Oral and Evelyn were married 66 years before the Lord took her home. Over the years, Oral's ministry expanded from tents, to the radio, to television where his program is enjoyed by Christians across the globe. He has also written over 100 books.
Later life

In 1980, Roberts continued the construction of his City of Faith Medical and Research Center. City of Faith opened in 1981.
