Warner Bros. Entertainment, Inc. is an important and influential movie studio based in Burbank, California. It was founded in 1918 by its namesakes, four immigrant brothers from Poland. It is now a part of the giant media conglomerate Time Warner.
Warner Bros. is famous for many films it made during the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s, such as Casablanca and the first full-length film with audible dialogue, The Jazz Singer. It is also famous for its Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoon series.
In the late 1950s and early 1960s, WB also produced a number of television programs, such as Sugarfoot, Cheyenne, 77 Sunset Strip, Hawaiian Eye, Surfide 6, Lawman, and Maverick.
