Bold textThe full screen view in Internet Explorer 8 is supposed to hide toolbars automatically, but the Auto-Hide function can be disabled. To restore Auto-Hide:

  1. Press F11 (and bear with me a moment!)
  2. Press Alt-spacebar
    This brings up small menu in the upper-left portion of your screen
  3. Choose the Auto-Hide command
    Within 3 or 4 seconds, the toobars will go away.
