In criminal law a chain conspiracy is consists of several parties as links in one long criminal enterprise. Each party is responsible for the actions of everyone else in the chain, even if they never met each other.
When some parties in a criminal conspiracy do not know each other, then this is the most common type of conspiracy charged. The less common type of conspiracy is a hub-and-spoke conspiracy.
