Leslie Groves

Leslie Groves was a brigadier general who started and managed the Manhattan Project during World War II.

Groves hired J. Robert Oppenheimer as a manager under Groves' supervision. Later, Groves testified for Oppenheimer in opposition to revocation of his security clearance by Congress. Congress revoked Oppenheimer's security clearance anyway.
