Tom Vilsack is the former Governor of Iowa and a member of the Democratic Party. He was a candidate early on in the 2008 Presidential Election for the Democratic nomination, but withdrew and endorsed Senator Clinton.[1] He was nominated for Secretary of Agriculture by Barack Obama[2] and was confirmed by the Senate.
