Who is a prophet?
Jacobin said: While King and Theresa were great individuals inspired by religion, is there really any serious reference by scholars of religion that calls the "prophets" in the same sense of the word as Moses, etc?
- If you understand prophet to be one who creates prophecies, then no, Martin Luther King and Mother Theresa are perhaps not, but the other definition of prophet is someone who speaks for God and I believe that many people would agree that they both did. Vossyspeak 21:35, 14 April 2007 (EDT)
