Chuck Grassley, born September 17, 1933 (age 92), is a United States Senator from Iowa. He is a member of the Republican Party and throughout the current Congress has voted with a majority of his Republican colleagues eight-three percent of the time.[1]He was elected as a Representative in 1974 January 3, 1981 when he was elected United States Senator. [2] He is the ranking member of the Senate Finance Committee and is influential in health care negotiations. Grassley received his graduate degree from the University of Northern Iowa. Senator Grassley is also a fervent tweeter, chronicling his daily deeds and consistent deer slayings.
