Antonis Samaras (b. May 23, 1951) was the prime minister of Greece from 2012 to 2015 and leader of the conservative party New Democracy. His party was elected in the Greek parliament with 130 of 300 seats in 2012. Samaras supports the "bailout" of the Greece by the European Union and the International Monetary Fund.[1] He was preceded by Leftist politician Alexis Tsipras in 2015.
