Loretta Lynch (b. 1959) will be the 83rd Attorney General of the United States. She was nominated to succeed Eric Holder in the position by President Barack Obama on November 8, 2014. On April 23, 2015, she was confirmed by a 56-43 vote in the United States Senate.[1]
Lynch has served as United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York since 2010.
