Storyline

Following a new incident involving collateral damage caused by the new Avengers team, a law known as the Registration Act is passed by the U.S. Government, requiring the regulation of superhuman activity, which fractures the Avengers into two groups lead by Captain America (Chris Evans) who opposes the legislation, and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), who supports the legislation. When Captain America attempts to protect his old friend Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) from the Registration Act, tensions between Rogers and Stark escalate into an all-out war between the two factions. Meanwhile, a new threat lurks in the shadows in the form of villain Baron Zemo (Daniel Bruhl).
