The Plum Pudding model of the atom was an early atomic theory proposed in 1904 by JJ Thomson, also called Thomson's Model.[1] It described the atom as being like a plum pudding, a viscous spheroid containing solid electrons inside it. It was disproven 5 years later by the Geiger-Marsden experiment.
