Trey Allen Ware (born October 1963) is a talk show host on the AM radio station KTSA, whose program is broadcast from 5 to 9 a.m. weekdays[1] in his native San Antonio, Texas. He is known for his conservative perspective on public events, local, state, and national. His father, Ricci Ware, was also a long-term KTSA personality, and for a time the two co-hosted a radio program. The father and the son were inducted into the San Antonio and the Texas radio halls of fame.[1]
Ware's parents were natives of Wilson County south of San Antonio. His mother was Miriam L. "Mimi" Ware (1939-2003).[2]
Ware and his wife, Nancy Louise Ware (born c. 1964), had two children, a son, Justin Christopher Ware (1985-2014), a guitarist and motorcycle enthusiast, and a daughter, Rebekah Lindsay Ware (1988-2009), who was employed at a Christian academy. Both committed suicide while in their twenties. The son took his own life shortly after his girlfriend had done the same. Ware released a statement on the tragedies: "Although we question God’s plan, we have never questioned His love because we have seen it expressed through you in so many ways. Nancy and I are so grateful for your prayers, encouraging words, and many expressions of love. Family, friends, and even people we have never met have reached out with prayers and words that we have leaned on during our time of deep sorrow..."[3] The Wares have two granddaughters, Annabelle Ware and Zoe Hoffman, the children of their daughter, Rebekah.[4]
Ware maintains a blog on which he comments on daily events.[5]
