Waco is a city located in Central Texas located just ninety miles south of Dallas and 100 miles north of Austin.
The city population is 113,726 and the metropolitan area population is 213,517. The climate is semi-tropical with mild winters.
The city is home to Baylor University. It is also the home of Christian couple Chip and Joanna Gaines, hosts of the television show Fixer Upper. It was also located near the former Branch Davidians compound, site of the standoff between the group and the BATF.
