'''Cesar Chavez''' was a labor organizer who started one of the first farm workers unions and organized boycotts of farmers who opposed unionization. His work led to many improvements in the working conditions experienced by farmhands, and the American appreciation for his socially progressive vision of agricultural labor practices is evident in the fact that his birthday is a holiday in four states and that the United States Postal Service has released a stamp in his honor.
