Colchester (pre-Roman name Camulodunum) is a historic market town in England. It lies on the River Colne and is about 50 miles northeast of London. It was the first Roman-founded city in Britain, and is claimed to be Britain's oldest recorded town. At one time it was the capital of Roman Britain.
