Not to be confused with the video game Halo
A Halo is a radiant circle of light above a person's head, often depicted in Christian art. Halos are associated with being good and holy, so they are present about the heads of Saints, Jesus, Mary etc.
Halos are not mentioned in the Bible. Some Christians consider them to be a pagan adaptation into Christianity.[1]
The word halo is often associated with the video game series by that name - See: Halo (franchise)
