Among Clapton's best known recordings are "Layla", "I Shot the Sheriff", "Cocaine", and "Lay Down Sally". Rolling Stone magazine listed Clapton as #4 in their list of the 100 greatest guitarists. Clapton overcame heroin addiction in the mid 1970s, and alcoholism in the early 1980s. He continues to perform and record; his most recent album was recorded in 2010.
