The Jussie Smollett assault hoax refers to the event that actor Jussie Smollett orchestrated in order to frame Trump supporters of a racially-motivated attack. Two brothers that had previously worked with Smollett as extras on Empire testified Smollett paid them $3,500 to pose as his attackers.[1] Smollett was found guilty of five out of six counts by a court of justice.
During the trial, it was discovered that Smollett even practiced a "dry run" prior. [2]
