Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956) was one of the most influential political science fiction movies ever made. It received no awards at the time, and yet decades later was honored, and has been remade three times.
Released during the Cold War, the movie is metaphorical against communism and the conspiratorial attempt by communists in America.
Kevin McCarthy (who also appeared decades later in a remake of it) and Dana Wynter starred.[1]
