Eldrick Tont Woods (born 1975), who goes by his nickname, Tiger (which he later changed to his legal name), is a professional golfer. He has won only 1 major golf tournament in the past ten years. In his career, he has won fifteen majors, second only to Jack Nicklaus' record haul of eighteen. On October 27, 2019, Woods tied Sam Snead's record of 82 PGA Tour victories.^[1] Tiger Woods reportedly declined an offer of $700-800 million to join LIV.

Tiger Woods repeatedly declined attempts by the liberal media to elicit criticism of President Donald Trump, who presented Woods the Presidential Medal of Freedom.^[2] In the 1990s, Tiger Woods declined an invitation by Democratic President Bill Clinton to meet him at the White House.

Woods' 2000-01 run of four consecutive major titles is the greatest of the modern era. Dubbed the "Tiger Slam" by the media, he won the 2000 US Open, the 2000 Open Championship, the 2000 PGA Championship and the 2001 Masters. At the Masters in 2013, he was given merely a two-stroke penalty for a rules infraction that many felt should have resulted in disqualification from the tournament.^[5]

In 2012, the liberal media declared Woods to be a favorite to win the Masters. In fact, he turned in his worst performance there in seventeen years, and his swearing and kicking of a club were captured by a camera. After he learned that people did not appreciate that, he declared:^[6]

Tiger Woods reportedly declined an early offer in the range of $700 to $800 million to join the LIV golf tour, which began play in 2022.^[11] However, that report was based entirely on hearsay, and it is unclear if that offer was a firm offer and if it remained available after other golfers were signed on for much lower compensation.
