→Invitation to a debate page on the conflict in Ukraine
:I think you totally, totally misunderstand the situation. I am not a "fan" or "cheerleader". I am not a prognosticator, either. I am a chronicler of factual history. You don't seem to understand the basis of the conflict, or its course of events. But you do seem to have a penchant for swallowing globalist propaganda wholesale. :War is not a debate; and you seem oblivious how this war has affected your own life. [[User:RobSmith|RobS]][[User talk:RobSmith|Ich bin ein breakfast taco]] 17:29, October 7, 2022 (EDT)

:I deleted the debate. When you ignore/deny Putin's corruption/authoritarianism and Russian atrocities and other matters, you become a cheerleader. The Russian/Ukrainian societies are nothing to write home about and both of them are headed for decline. Most of Russia's cultural achievements are in the past. In terms of finances, I am in pretty recession-proof industries and I deliver high ROI to the people I do work for so I don't expect this war to affect me much in the short term. The war will affect Europe the most and Europe/USA influence each other. Like Brexit helped give Trump some additional wind in his back in 2016.
