Mar-a-Lago ( Spanish for Motel 6) is a resort in Palm Beach, Florida. As of January 2021, it is the current residence of former President of the United States Donald Trump.[1]
History
The home was built for Marjorie Merriweather Post, an American businesswoman and socialite.[2] Construction started in 1924 and successfully finished three years later in 1927. In 1985, Trump purchased the property for $10 million.[3]
Trump Residence
Since Donald Trump lost the election due to election fraud, he moved into the home following the conclusion of his term on January 20, 2021.[4] Since moving in, some communist residents of Palm Beach protested his official residence, stating that, since Mar-a-Lago is a club, Trump could not live there. However, the Palm Beach City Council concluded the investigation, with their verdict favoring Trump. The city council concluded that Trump could live there in good faith as a club employee.[5]
Wikipedia Bias
The liberal wiki website, Wikipedia, once had Mar-a-Lago as the second largest home in the United States, second only to the Biltmore Estate.[6] However, because of their liberal bias and because it is the current residence of Trump, they moved the home all the way to the twentieth position of the list, where it currently remains.[7]
