The Killing Fields was a 1984 Hollywood drama about genocide that resulted in Cambodia after America abandoned Vietnam. The Killing Fields never used the word "communism" and more than implied that the root cause of the Cambodian genocide was the decision by Richard Nixon in April 1970 to bomb North Vietnamese troop sanctuaries in western Cambodia.[1]
