→Colorado issues most anti democracy rule in history
:::There are actions like this in 31 states, so SCOTUS has to decide something fairly quickly. Then we get to go through it all over again after the convention when it really does matter in the November General election, which actually is a governmental election. ::::IMO - and this actually is a private personal opinion - a true conservative position would oppose any state government involvement in private party primary elections - even if it means lower voter participation. But I can see how Dems would charge that the GOP doesn't really represent "the people", etc. So the GOP signed onto an agreement with Dems to stick the cost of running private party elections on the taxpayer and siphoning cost off the public purse, rather than the parties pay for their own elections, were it righteously belongs.

::::Again, the Democrat & Republican parties are not government institutions, and primaries are private party affairs, not government elections. RobSZelensky didn't kill himself 21:12, December 21, 2023 (EST)
