::I think the odds of Biden dying this year is greater than him dropping out of the race. The longer he is president, the less likely it is that he will face criminal charges. If Trump wins, Trump may go after the jugular when it comes to Biden so Biden and/or his family members could wind up in prison.  "Given those factors, it might be reasonable to bump up Biden’s 31.35 percent chance of dying in office to perhaps 50 percent." - Source: [https://thehill.com/opinion/white-house/4089739-bidens-life-expectancy-and-its-implications/#:~:text=According%20to%20Iervasi%2C%20an%2080,within%20the%20next%2010%20years. :::"Between 1936 and 2012, 11 out of 14 presidents seeking a second White House term were re-elected. This success rate convinced many that, as with other elected offices, incumbency offers distinct advantages for the presidency.", source: [https://time.com/6549871/2024-presidential-elections-incumbency/ Incumbency Is No Longer an Advantage in Presidential Elections].  I still think the conventional wisdom is right and the author of this article is wrongheaded.

:::Unfortunately for Biden, his presidency is Jimmy Carter 2.0 so he might drop out, but I think the Democrats are better off with an incumbent because the Democrats don't have a deep bench when it comes to presidential candidates.
