Owned by [[David Green]], it is notable for its stores closing on Sunday (this also applies to two the other chains chain owned by Green family members, Christian bookstore chain [[Mardel]] and , as well as the former furniture chain [[Hemispheres (retailer)|Hemispheres]]before it closed). It also successfully won the United States Supreme Court case ''[[Burwell v. Hobby Lobby Stores]]'' involving [[Obamacare]], where the company (in a close 5–4 vote) was allowed to opt out of the provision requiring contraceptive coverage in its insurance plan, on the basis of its privately-held status and the religious views of its owners.
