United States dollar coins

The dollar coin has had a rocky history of introduction in the United States. The latest attempt of introduction was introduced by George W. Bush in the Presidential $1 Coin Act of 2005. These coins are to depict the images of Presidents Of The United States. The first coin in this series shows the image of George Washington, the first President of the United States of America.

The initial run of coins from the US Mint were allegedly sabatoged by an operator at the mint, and do not posess the Constitutionally required phrase, "In God We Trust". It is suggested that these coins be exchanged at a bank for properly struck coins, as currency not posessing the mark of "In God We Trust" may not be accepted as legal tender within the United States.
