Alex Mooney is the pro-Trump Republican U.S. Representative for West Virginia's 2nd Congressional District in the U.S. House.
Rep. Mooney announced on Nov. 15, 2022, that he is running against the Democrat Joe Manchin in 2024, when Donald Trump is expected to win the state by 40 points.[1]
Mooney appeared to be preparing a run against Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) in 2024, after Manchin voted for the Leftists' misnamed Inflation Reduction Act to cripple the coal industry in West Virginia. Unfortunately, in May 2022, Mooney went along with the Establishment and voted to enact $40 billion without any accountability on the Russia-Ukraine war.[2]
