Jim Justice is a billionaire businessman who is the richest man in the state of West Virginia, having numerous interests in coal; his most notable interest is The Greenbriar, a historic and popular resort.

Justice, originally a member of the Republican Party, became a Democrat ahead of the 2016 election, but he switched back to the Republicans in 2017.[1]

In addition to his business and political interests, he has been the girls basketball coach at Greenbrier East High School in Lewisburg since 2003, having won the state championship in 2012, and after winning election he continues to coach.[2] He also coached the boys team for several years as well.
