The Bible is the best-selling book of all time.[1]

Between 5 to 7 billion Bibles have been published.

According the Guinness Book of Word Record, "The best-selling book of all time is the Christian Bible. It is impossible to know exactly how many copies have been printed in the roughly 1,500 years since its contents were standardized, but research conducted by the British and Foreign Bible Society in 2021 suggests that the total number probably lies between 5 and 7 billion copies.[2]

Bible sales increased by a remarkable 22% in 2024, which the Wall Street Journal describes as “a golden age of Bible publishing.” From the Christian Broadcasting Network based on WSJ reporting:

“ The WSJ crunched the numbers and found Bible sales increased from 9.7 million in 2019 to 14.2 million in 2023. In the first 10 months of 2024, 13.7 million copies were sold, with still two months left to count.[3] ”

This far outpasses the anemic growth of merely 1% in annual book sales overall.
