Stanislav Krapivnik was born in Lugansk, Ukrainian SSR and immigrated to the United States as a child after the dissolution of the Soviet Union. He was educated in the US, obtained two college degrees and served in the United States Army rising to the rank of Major. He moved to the Russia Federation with his family in 2010, served as a consultant, and has been in great demand on Russian TV as a US and Russian military and geopolitical analyst.
